Installing and using your TOWTETHER is quick and easy. Follow these strait forward steps to ensure a proper, FMCSA-compliant attachment for your trailer’s breakaway cable.
- First, loop the cable around the hitch frame. Insert the tag through the cable loop at the other end of the cable.
- Next position the cable clamp so that the loop and the cable are secured as shown.
- Using the included hex key, install the set screw and position the cable in its final location.
- Torque the set screw until the cable is secure. Do not over tighten.
- Attach the Break away cable and now you are ready to help keep the roads safe. Tow-safe tow-smart towtether.
